Angry Robot Books are having another Open Door period, from 1st November until the end of December (yeah, a pretty long one, eh?). I've never submitted anything to them before, but this time around, I thought I'd send THE CURSED MAN over, to see how they like it. Actually, some years ago I did enquire about submitting THE BATTLE FOR THE SOLAR SYSTEM trilogy, but since I'd already self published HOTK by that point, it wasn't possible (the book was probably too long at that point anyway, being 143,000 words). Fingers crossed this time around. It was actually a toss up between sending THE CURSED MAN or THE DRAGON MISTRESS. However, DM is 135,000 words and the limit on the open door is 130,000 (it might only be 5k over, but best not to risk disqualification). CM is 111,000 words, so fits nicely into the limit.
